DARREN AMBROSE has claimed the Championship's Player of the Month award for November.

The midfielder, 25, has been a sensation at Palace since joing on a free transfer from relegated Charlton in the summer.

He has already grabbed 12 goals and is showing the kind of form that earned him a big money move from Ipswich to Newcastle as a youngster.

Palace's unbeaten run in November was largely down to the form of the Harlow born player who scored four goals.

"I am delighted for him," said Eagles manager Neil Warnock. "It's good for everybody really and good for the team as a whole."
