MIKAEL FORSSELL scored his first senior international goal for Finland last night as the Finns ran out 1-0 victors in a friendly against Luxemborg. .
FORSSELL struck from the edge of the area after a bad defensive clearance with just 13 minutes remaining. The striker had already forced two superb saves out of the home side's keeper, Alija Besic.
It was a game which Finland dominated with West Ham's Hannu Tihinen rattling the crossbar and Charlton's Jonatan Johansson also going close to scoring.
Meanwhile, Andrejs Rubins and Alex Kolinko played in Latvia's match with Liechtenstein with Kolinko keeping a clean sheet in the 2-0 victory.
