i'm out. Why would anybody vote to keep the status quo???? Those who are going to vote remain can only do so via fear of the unknown, which is abit like believing that if ever green headed Aliens landed from outter space, they'd shoot to kill instead of shaking hands and giving us a bottle marked "cure for cure for cancer".

So if you have no fear, and you really believe that the EU is the big monster under the bed which is the cause of all our problems, then give it a punt. Of course the alien for 'cure for cancer' could mean 'die you f*****s' in their language Edited by SloveniaDave (23 Jun 2016 12.06am)

I am more than old enough to remember how we struggled to get into the EU, and what is was like before we succeeded. There is no "status quo"! Everything evolves and moves on. So will the EU and we need to shape it, rather than watch it from the sidelines. You have to be in it, to win it. "Project Fear" actually applies to the leavers. They are scared of a future which doesn't fit their perception of Britain. A perception which is long past it's use by date. Edited by Wisbech Eagle (23 Jun 2016 12.18am)

What it has become is emphatically not what we joined in 1973, nor voted to stay in two years later.

A vote for remain is not a vote for the status quo. There is no such thing as the status quo in the modern world. It is a vote for which path we should follow - the one with our allies and friends, where we can help each other, if needed, or the path into the unknown, on our own.

Do you think the EU is fit for purpose, is a democratic organisation, that the EU is free of corruption, that the EU stands up to independent scrutiny, that the EU can and will complete much needed reform, that the EU is in control of destiny, the EU is about bettering the life of the ordinary person and that the EU is making decisions in an open and fair manner? If the answer is yes to the above in your mind, then vote yes.
