He will sign for someone. I suppose the agent advising that he will stay is because Liverpool are potentially pricing Benteke out of a deal.

The deal seems dead in the water because Liverpool demand full reimbursement of their outlay,which no club in their right mind, including ourselves, are willing to pay.

The trail seems to have gone cold on Babacar too, but I believe his agent was in London last week? The CPFC Board does seem to be prioritising getting at least one more striker in. So it maybe that a deal suddenly emerges for Benteke or if not Palace will probably have 3 or 4 other options it will turn to in due course. The situation is a bit alarming, in that we only have 2 strikers on our books and one of them (Campbell) just doesnt have the quality and I doubt whether he will play again for Palace in the PL except as a last resort. Personally I think the best thing to do is to let both Benteke and Pool stew in their juices and move on to other targets as soon as possible. Possibly, if Pool see that Palace isnt playing with them any more, and no one else is interested, then they may finally agree to lower their exhorbitant prices
