The fact that a team as good as Arsenal felt the need to try and waste so much time when there were 30 mins left is disgraceful.

I dont have a problem losing last night really but a couple of things really bother me. If VAR was looking on the blocking and not the keeper challenge how on earth did they not give the foul? Secondly, listening to all the Arsenal fans, manager etc Get a grip, he was booked because of the constant time wasting and the crowd were not going to let the referee keep ignoring it. Eventually he gave in, why are the pundits not referring to this. Secondly, the push on Ayew was also just another foul, and enough was enough. Shame we looked ok but I never thought we were going to score and we had nothing on the bench. Interestingly, the guy next to me was keeping a stop watch on all the stoppages and he was at just under 18 minutes!!!!

It surprised me that Arsenal felt the need to waste time in the first half at 0-0. Let’s not forget that Artefa learnt his ‘craft’ at the feet at the master of cheating, Guardiola. I think there’s a saying that ‘cheats don’t prosper’, well in the Premier League they thrive. And don’t get me started about FFP.

There are times when I wonder why I still go to matches and follow the game. Time wasting, feigning injury, diving to win penalties, "professional" fouls, to say nothing of the absurd/obscene amounts of money being paid to players ( even mediocre ones)and being paid for players( again many mediocre), all leaves me increasingly disenchanted with the modern game. I'm not suggesting that professional football has ever been a haven of gentlemanly conduct, but there has definitely decline in the spirit in which the game is played ( I have been attending football for 59 years) and where players have become quite shameless in their cheating.

Ditto. It is a shadow of the game I first recall attending in the late sixties / early seventies .

Totally agree Pete and I'd add I don't understand the rules either. Offside is a mystery, penalties sometimes given for ball to hand, the Soucek encroachment incident in the WHam/Chelsea game was baffling and what constitutes a clear goal scoring opportunity for Haaland is a bit broader than for some others.
