What do folks think has impacted our results more in the last half dozen games. The introduction of Glasner and team or players back from injury?

I personally cannot say. I've watched nearly every game. And some of our players have come to life. Hughes in particular is now making every tackle. And we are clearly passing forward a lot more under Glasner. JP is getting fed better balls by Olise. Wharton and Munoz a big difference in midfield and defence.

I'd love to hear what some of the more seasoned and wise folks think.

Definitely Glasner and his team.I think Wharton and Munoz have been massive too. Wharton almost controls the whole game on his own, it's unreal to watch.
Obviously having Olise and Eze actually attacking rather than defending like Hodgson had them doing has helped too and thats all down to Glasner. Best times since promotion, just waiting for something to go tits up now.

Both I think. While other teams are running on empty after long seasons with cup runs, we’ve been revitalised with a new gaffer, two great new signings, players back from injury and players like Hughes, Richards and Mateta suddenly looking top quality and contributing more. Plus we definitely look fitter late on, instead of flagging near the end we seem to get a second wind now in games and I suppose that’s got to be down to Glasner and his team, plus our lack of games compared to other teams might be helping now

It all revolves around Oliver Glasner 100%

Last season under Roy we only lost 2 of the last 10 games, winning 5, Eze and Olise were fit and playing. Its no coincidence the same is happening this season, when Eze and Olise are fit and playing.
Glasner has them playing a more uptempo game, but its the players available that makes the difference.

As great as the run was under Roy at the end of last season I think we are a different beast under Glasner. Obviously having your best players available helps, but it feels different under OG. We are aggressive, are playing on the front foot, and are not easy to read, plus the players aren't knackered by 75 minutes. Roy looked to build a solid base for the stars to shine, OG seems to want the whole team to shine. How many people saw Mateta potentially getting a call-up to France under Roy?

Exciting times!

Glasner has been the main catalyst although Eze and Olise have also played significant roles.

I'm not sure the comparison to the end of last season under Hodgson bears close scrutiny.

We have played better teams than the tail end of last season (bear in mind many thought we'd struggle to hit 35 points with Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle to face).
We have also dominated games and thoroughly merited the results.
Last season we relied on a last minute Mateta winner to beat a poor Leicester team and the comfortable win at eventually relegated Leeds was not comfortable at half time when we looked on our way to losing.

I didn't think this system under Glasner would work with the players at Glasner's disposal and he has more than exceeded expectations.
He talks confidently of trying to win every game, but not in an arrogant way, and is a refreshing contrast to Hodgson who used to talk of every opponent as if they were Real Madrid.

As others have said, Eze and Olise fit, Wharton growing into the league and a progressive manager

I think there are a lot of factors Firstly both Olise and Eze available after injury. Secondly the January signings have really worked. Thirdly the Team spirit has returned and this was missing - we can speculate why - results, individuals , Roy's obvious ill health etc. Lastly the change of manager - we have had a new manager bounce but we did last season when Roy returned. We are playing a different type of football know under Glazner but without Munnoz Olise and Eze could we have done that ? In my view No

Can we keep the side together ? I think Olise and Eze will stay for another season and may move next summer if offers arrive. Geuhi I think will go for 2 reasons Firstly we need the money to strengthen the squad and can buy 2 players at least for money we will get. Secondly it appears he will not sign a new contract and even if he would can we afford another 100k pw player? With players leaving we have approx 100kpw saving more if Clyne does not resign. Is this better spent on new players and strengthening squad or improving existing contracts but at the expense of a thinner squad?

The manager's impact on the players was most noticeable when Olise went straight to Glasner after scoring his second against Man U because Glasner had apparently told him to try shooting near post as well as far when he cuts in. That's good coaching and I think we can see the results of better coaching and fitness levels throughout the team.

I have a mate who used to be a pro footballer and he says it's incredible how he didn't receive any actual coaching under some managers, such as making space for himself and timing runs. Pro footballers are without exception talented at what they do, but like all of us we can improve aspects of what we do at any time. Some egos in the game will prevent some coaches from trying, but it looks like we've got that handy combination at the moment of a group that are willing to listen and learn.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.
