Hughes, Schlupp and Ward have signed on for another year. All valuable squad members.

I would've liked to have seen Hughes offered 2 years, I think he's been good enough this season to warrant it.

Would support Clyne and Matthews for another year too, although on significantly reduced terms in Clyne's case.

As with Ward & Schlupp, Hughes 'triggered' the one year extension in his contract, he wasn't 'offered' it.

Assuming the decision re Riedewald's release has been known for a while I'm surprised an opportunity wasn't given to use either Ozoh or Ahamada as substitutes in recent games instead of Riedewald.
Perhaps Riedewald was used for specific tactical purposes in the games where he was used, but part of me thinks it would have been an opportunity to give Ahamada or Ozoh some experience.
Not a criticism, just an observation.

Super nice of Glasner to put him slightly in the shop window and show any prospective future clubs he is fit enough and trusted enough to play Premier League Football - even if not actually that fit or that good (not to earn a new contract anyway)

The Dutch league beckons I suspect
