Are you saying the death of Lee Rigby was sensationalist reporting ? It certainly involved some very sensationalist reporting. Whilst it was a terrible and horrible event, and every right thinking person was horrified, the level of coverage and exploitation of the event, in the media and politically, was excessive and there was a frenzy of trying to 'own Lee Rigby' in some circles. It was a cold, callous and deplorable murder, by two individuals who should never see the light of day.

Who did it in the name of Allah and were not in any way suffering from a mental health issue and indeed showed no remorse for the killings. Please enlighten me as to how that was sensationalised ? There was no need it was a barbaric murder by two Islamic fundamentalists who believed they were soldiers in a war. Please again tell me how this was sensationalised ?

People should always wait after any attack before connecting it to anything. There will always be people who won't and that's unfortunate and not a positive example to anyone. It shouldn't be about agendas on any side. The most important aspect is the balanced truth as far as it can be ascertained.

I don't know if he was mental or a terrorist, but he wasn't British. Norwegian national of Somali origin. The bloke who got sentenced a few days ago for the tube station knife attack was also of Somali origin.

We will have a terrorist attack again. This is sadly inevitable. However, it's tragic that the mainstream media and far right sympathisers so desperately wanted this one to be terror related. The media want it to sell papers, the right want it to fuel hatred. Sorry folks. Mental health issue. Very upsetting but not what you wanted.

If a person has certain mental health issues I'd imagine it would not be beyond the realms of possibility that you would be influenced by news stories of stabbings, murders etc. It does not mean you are a terrorist just very prone to being influenced. This could be part of the mental health issue that the person has.

Just seen some of this on the news. Of course the fail is latching on to terrorism with all the usual reader comments asking what the attacker looks like.. I can't be the only one who is sick to the back teeth of all this. What looks like it could be a serious mental health issue being latched onto and cries of terrorist, Isis, usual islamaphobia. It is so wrong. Anyone remember Eden Strang the guy with the sword who went into the church in Thornton heath several years ago. Clearly mental health.. can you imagine the headlines if that happened now... Me and my family were there at the time and my friends dad Tom was a policeman ended in restraining him. I was pretty young at the time but it was absolutely mental.
