Let's be honest, we've never been a club to have a deeply talented bench and probably never will but it needs to have serviceable subs available. You can argue we don't and it's the Boards fault but that's where we are right now and it doesn't excuse the fact that Roy is not managing game minutes per player appropriately. Success will lie to you but failure always tells you the truth.

No, it's more to do with Hodgson not being willing to give these players game time, and when you are 2 goals to the good with 20 minutes left on the clock, and some outfield players are showing signs of tiring, it seems to me a good moment to introduce a few, with strict instructions naturally.

I completely agree with this. We might as well have cardboard cutouts on the bench for all Roy apparently cares and it would be cheaper.
Let's be honest, we've never been a club to have a deeply talented bench and probably never will but it needs to have serviceable subs available. You can argue we don't and it's the Boards fault but that's where we are right now and it doesn't excuse the fact that Roy is not managing game minutes per player appropriately.
