Dolphin , I agree whole-heartedly. The penalties for failure at work for the lower classes is being sacked, pension impacted and possible criminal cases in the cases of theft.
These 'management types' have authorised encouraged and advocated the destruction of innocent people's lives. Yet being 'held to account' won't see salaries paid back, pensions impacted, or even facing charges. Absolutely shameful.

I think that it is even worse than that. Van den Bogerd admitted yesterday that in the year that wrongly convicted subpostmasters won acquittals and the judge said her evidence was misleading and tainted, she was given a bonus by the Post Office.

If ever there was an example of the powers that be in an organisation looking after themselves at the life shattering expense of others, this is it.

I really hope that she, Vennells, Crichton and other seniors are prosecuted. My only worry is that their defence of "nothing to do with me", "I never knew, I didn't see that email" or "I can't remember" will be hard to break down. Surely, they must at least be guilty of gross negligence - but I guess that is not a crime.

The public might need to arrange a get together with burning torches, buy some feathers and heat up some tar.

"Former Post Office boss Paula Vennells has admitted that evidence she gave to MPs looking into problems with the Horizon IT system in 2012 was not true.

Speaking publicly for the first time in almost ten years, Ms Vennells broke down as she was questioned over the scandal, saying her previous assertion that there had been no failed Horizon prosecutions was not correct.

In the most anticipated appearance of the long-running Post Office scandal inquiry, Ms Vennells was questioned in a packed inquiry room with sub-postmasters and post-mistresses coming to watch her give evidence.

Asked by inquiry lead counsel Jason Beer about evidence she gave to MPs in June 2012, in which she told them that every Horizon case brought against sub-postmasters had been successful, Mr Beer listed a number of cases that had not been.

"I fully accept now, that the Post Office - excuse me," said Ms Vennells as she paused and began crying.

"The Post Office knew that," she said. "I completely accept it. Personally, I didn't know that, and I'm incredibly sorry that it happened to those people and to so many others." (BBC website)

Vennells, a woman so bad at her job and a disgrace of a human being (who rejoiced at the (wrongful) imprisonment of a pregnant subpostmaster), has repeatedly lied under oath, and was rewarded with an honour and a six figure salary.
She has returned the 'honour', now i want the wages repaid,...else prison.
What's good for the goose,....

...And not just Vennells, the whole lot of them that conspired to line their own pockets whilst with their incompetence and lies destroying others lives. Don't just make Vennells the scapegoat. Kill 'em all.

she shames the Christianity she claims

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Including Fujitsu, who seem to have got off lightly atm. I wonder why?

yeah, Fujitsu are in line for other contracts, so this is of huge importance that they come out unscathed, or damage very limited.
Vennells has some particularly distasteful character traits, but this shouldn't make her the focus of this investigation. Others have been implicated and they should all suffer the consequences. I am doubtful whether this will happen, which is why Bates threat to conduct Private Criminal Prosecutions is something I would financially contribute to support.
