Apparently Brazilian keeper is ready to play so we can’t sign him yet.

Are you daring to infer that we only sign players too scared to play????

This will be the Sakho that the medical team were unaware would not be playing against Everton, having trained all week, will it?

No, it would be the Sakho who came back from injury too soon and is now off again, and whom we need to stay fit for the next ten matches instead of the next ten minutes.

I am sick to death of reading disgusting personal attacks on our players on here when we know frankly f*** all about what's going on, when it's f***ing private FFS, and when it's based on misinformation, rumour or (as it would appear in this case) the inability of a journalist to understand French.

As soon as we lose a couple of games (and the last onw was 1-0 against Spurs FFS) there's a whole bandwagon desperate to slag off everyone from Hennessey to Benteke via Cabaye, Townsend and Sakho and blame them for anything and everything. The only player out of that lot who we can reasonably say is probably deserving of criticism is Benteke. Criticism of a performance is one thing (Lee was useless on Sunday), but accusing players of feigning injury (for example) is not on. If it were conclusively proven that would be a different matter but there is nothing like evidence of Sakho wanting to do anything other than make sure he is fully fit and available for the rest of the season rather than aggravate his injury again. Of which we should be 100% supportive.

Have some respect, and you can start by giving the benefit of the doubt at least.

I think you will find that I am very supportive of the team and the club (if you look at my posts) as I have been since early 60's. I do not think my comment was a disgusting personal attack but you are entitled to your opinion. There is no point in me continuing the point regarding the medical team as I cannot reveal the source and I am fully aware that without being able to do this I will not be believed. Lets just hope he is back soon, fully fit and up for the fight.

You are right we do know nothing. All we can do is go on the facts. The Manager of our football club has said the medical professionals believe he is fit to play. Sakho in less diplomatic terms is refusing. Roy put this into the public domain, which I do not believe was the right thing to do but i'm guessing its Roys frustration with the player getting the better of him and/or hes trying to give him a kick up the backside.

Sorry, I wasn't talking about you in particular. I think that many of the comments on the Sakho thread for example though are a disgrace and that if a player says he"s not fit he's not fit. The expert on Sakho's body is Sakho. To argue with that is to accuse him of lying and in that case you need to be on very solid ground indeed.

If it was once then I wouldn't take any notice of it but twice, with a 2 week gap, and a baby born 3 days before playing a more difficult game doesn't sit easy. Was he there on Sunday, as captains do, popping into the dressing room, encouraging the lads, especially Bissaka?

Why do you keep ignoring what Roy said in his Spurs press conference? Sakho is deemed fit by the medical team, he just choses not to play, there is literally nothing else to it unless you want to believe there is.

True. But you have to ask yourself why Roy has put it in the public domain. Roy and the team clearly feel he is holding back.

If there wasn't any doubt about his fitness and refused to play, he would of been fined by the club. I am sure this would be in his contract. I don't recall reading that he was fined.
He came back to soon from his injury or was pushed to play, when he didn't fully fit.
Whats the point of playing him, only to pull up again.

You wouldn't nessacarily know if a player has been fined or not, but I don't think you can fine a player for not being sure about an injury. It's just the medical teams word against his, not a straight refusal to play.
