Can't help but think people rate Remy because he's at Chelsea rather than for any good reason. I'm also nervous that selling Gayley will come back to bite us big time.

You'll want to punch me for saying this, but I just FEEL deep down inside that we're definitely going to get Remy - it's been mooted for weeks, that was the original loan deal from Chelsea, and the Cabaye permanent deal wraps it up - I can see Remy wanting to stay in the prem, play first team footy, so it's us over Besiktas and we're not hearing any hammers interest any more.

Far superior player to austin. I can imagine Remy doing the ol' silky one-twos with Wilf and so on, and back flicks, for the life of me I cant see Austin doing that, like Murray wouldnt either, remy simply has an extra dimension to his game.

According to the times we have given up on him I don't think the Times is right on this one. Remy will be third/possibly fourth choice if he stays at Chelsea this season; and like Cabaye, wants and needs regular game time ahead of the Euros next year. Plus there's the draw of playing for Pardew again; and hooking up with an old team mate in Cabaye. I also expect he wants to stay in London; and feel certain we will agree a deal with Chelsea to sign him. Its also worth noting that Amy EDS the beautiful ITK girl who said we'd sign Cabaye way before it hit the papers also said a few weeks back that Remy is on his way to us providing they sign Falcao. It is slso worth noting that she has said that Besiktas got in contact and are now favourable by Chelsea. Lets wait and see what we can do. Cabaye was always my number 1 target of the summer so regardless whether we sign Remy or not I will still be happy. Amy EDS? She's been banging on about Bas Dost to Newcastle for weeks and weeks and that isn't on the cards. Same with the Villa takeover which has just fallen through. A certain FYP member called Cabaye before Amy and she has already proven that she reads the Palace forums (HOL). Any girl who is slightly good looking and talks a good game will muster up a load of followers and then seem reliable if they do enough research on newsnow and the message boards.

Supposing this transfer gets to a medical. I remember the Liverpool transfer fall through due to a long standing injury he's got? Chelsea can afford to take a risk like that on a 10m player. Will we be able to take the risk if the injurys still there lurking in the background?
