No it isn't. We were here before with people actually suggesting Wickham was swinging the lead. Honestly who would dream of all the glory of top flight football but then be happier having the medical team keeping him side lined for years. That is especially if there is a ready berth tantalisingly waiting for him when match fit. Wickham exasperated the medical staff by being lazy and not keeping up his special exercise regimes. Before he came Sunderland fans told the missus exactly what would happen with him. They knew only too well Ferguson is not anything like wickham and should not be mentioned in the same breath

Source is Roy’s mouth: Defender Nathan Ferguson has had a torrid time with injuries since signing for Palace in the summer of 2020 and has just made one Premier League appearance, but Hodgson said: "I was pleased to see him play [for the under-21 side]. I heard that he picked up an injury during the game. I don't know the severity of it but I hope it's not a bad one."

Very sad but it’s time for him to consider a new career and we need to help with his adjustment to life outside football. Everybody needs to move on.
