Watching the after match analysis. Rio and known discussing. Basically saying what we have all been saying.

Rio also said that other teams would love to have some of the players we have and the manager is not getting a tune out of them. Absolutely agree with this

Other teama will soon have some of our players

Think he said something like - should have protected the result - but bought the youngsters on and it’s hard for them and the result then got away from us - words to that affect anyway...!!

But he didn’t bring on the youngsters - he bought on James Tomkins - our oldest player at 3-0 - who then proceeded to get rinsed for the last 2 goals..!!

If anything Ahamada produced the best, most exciting bit of play/run from us for the whole game..!!

So how is it the youngsters fault - just don’t get it..!!

Clearly Roy’s delusions and arrogance knows no bounds - and it’s costing us big time..!!

He’s press conferences / after game interviews are bordering on the ridiculous now and becoming even more nonsensical..!!

It’s abundantly clear - that despite all the potential to hand, the terrible results and performances - he still has no intention of giving the youth and potential a chance - even when he does he blames them..!!

Even though we were already 3-0 down - with his tried and tested experienced players on the pitch - he then brings on his oldest and most experienced player for our Captain and current England centre half - who gives away 2 goals - but it’s all the youngsters fault..!!

What planet is he on - what game is he watching..!!

Just beggars belief..!!

Surely he’s got be gone now..!!

Exactly this.

We have 4 or 5 very good players. If you back them up with good decent Prem players, we then have a decent side. Unfortunately the back up players are below the standard required so its easy to pick us off.

We appear to have no idea of how to play 5 at the back. If you watch Martinelli’s goals the full back is on the halfway line watching him sprint past and one centre half gets sucked into the middle to double up on the ball leaving him in acres of space.

This is Roy trying to sort Richards into his preferred position but it just doesn’t work as even with 3 centre halfs we were poor defensively in both open play and at set pieces.

We are an absolute mess defensively and yet that is supposed to be our strength. It really doesn’t bode well and as of this point in time , with the squad we have and the lack of confidence I would say we are joint favourites for the third relegation spot.

Yes, agreed we are a shambles, this has been brewing for several seasons because we have no plan on recruitment except to find any player as inexpensive as possible or even better if it’s a loan or he is a sick note, examples GK when we don’t need one, Centre back the same and a unproven £20mil youngster who may or may not work out etc. The balance of the team is all over the place. We are e looking more like relegation candidates than ever and here we are in the dying embers of another window, no new signings and you can just predict the Parish statement “we tried but we just could not get them over the line”

You are correct, and the fullback was Ahamada!!!!! and Roy hates 5 at the back, Roy and Ray should be relived of their positions, if the manager they want is available, put him in now, if not give Paddy the caretaker role, at least he will put some of the younger players in, Imray, Ozoh, Ahamada and Franca should all be starting.

Lanzo I’d happily stick you in there right now.

I see there were more banners at the game too. It seems all is toxic atm, boardroom fighting, Manager has lost the plot, I’m guessing the players are feeling as low as possible and the fans seem to be enraged.

Parish loves to put his spin on things but I don’t think anything beyond a new manager and some signings will placate fans.

It really does feel grim.

Bad times.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

No matter what the result later, we will drop to 15th.

I've been annoyed for a while now of us playing with a system that requires wide men when we have none. Surely we should play narrow and direct in circumstances like today. I have to blame Roy for a continuous sticking to the system without the actual personnel. A manager has to deal with what he's got and we don't. We shoehorn people into positions to suit a system that doesn't suit us. Then we can hardly be surprised that it doesn't work.
The other things wrong are similar. We have been crap at all set pieces - attacking and defending under Roy. We clearly either do not work on it all and if we do, whatever we're doing isn't working. This has been an identifiable weakness for some time. Weaknesses are all there to see for everyone - pundits, the opposition - except our management apparently. I didn't expect 5-0 today - I expected more guts than that.

Roy stood there at the end gazing at the HF banner and I felt as though he must have realised that it's over. It feels like it's over. Yet I'd also be equally unsurprised if it's not.

If it is over, he only has himself to blame. He's been utterly inflexible with his tactics, predictable with his line ups and completely negative with substitutions.

His only mitigation is the injuries that we've had to key players. But even that he must share some responsibility for as he came out at the start of the season and said we should be happy with our squad, rather than pressuring Parish to invest, and has worked our key players into the ground rather than using the squad and youngsters.

Life is too short for this. It's awful to say but I dread watching us at the moment rather than looking forward to it. It's time for a change of direction.

Yep, I would have thought a better set up would have been a 4-3-1-2 with Lerma Ozoh and Hughes in the three, Eze in front pulling the strings and Edouard playing 10 alongside Mateta. Mateta held the ball up well today but no players were close enough to knock down to.

Exactly that type of thing. We would have only lost 2-0 then

Quite unacceptable and should we lose to Sheffield in our next game,we will be in freefall and favourites for the drop.
