Kasami, Palace vs Fulham.

Fulham absolutely bossed the game and we lost but I seem to recall this goal being a worldie which featured on the goal of the season shortlist.

Exactly what I was going to put.

Steve Staunton against somebody in 2000. Don't remember the opposition, but he shot from somewhere near the away dugout into the Whitehorse Lane goal. Shot not the right word - lobbed, I suppose.

Tranmere i believe, I was sat in the Whitehorse, think we won 3-2 and Clint Hill was playing for Tranmere just for the record

I was there for that one... sat in the Holmesdale.... left foot curler from the half way line into the goal at the Whitehorse end!

Gareth Southgate against Portsmouth. Picking it up just outside the box and running all the way across the pitch before letting fly from 30 yards.

If anyone has a link of that, it would be appreciated!

my best one to, started on the left hand side of our box then carried on running, think he ran out of steam and just thumped it!

What a tremendous goal - Kasami netting with his weaker right foot !

In terms of Palace goals, what has immediately sprung to mind is the "Yogi Bear" Hughes effort when he ran, cut in and rocketed the ball home and a goal from a very unlikely source, John McCormick who got further than perhaps he ever did in open play, took a swing outside the area and the ball ended up in the net ! Think it was a toe-poke ! I recall some of the other excellent goals mentioned in this thread.

John "Yogi" Hughes for me. Sheffield United had thrashed Ipswich the week before, I think. There was a great photo of "Yogi" as he struck the ball, with Sheffield United's Tony Currie about to tread on Yogi's foot; Currie had a mean grin on his face as I recall. All this goes to show what an impression that goal made on me. Could I make it joint top with Don Roger's "Pele" goal? Anyone remember Roger Hoy's 20 yard bullet header from a few years earlier?

I was there for that one... sat in the AW with the father-in-law who was a Derby County fan.

Deano ran onto it and hit it with his left foot outside the box and it fcuked into the net like a thunderbolt!

It absolutely p1ssed down on the way back to the car and we got soaked, but I couldn't care less after watching Deano hit that equaliser!

The father-in-law was gutted as he thought they had the 3 points in the bag!

April 19th, 1969 - Lazarus!!

The most bananas I've ever gone at a home game. Amazing to be 13 and see that goal, his lap of honour and all the celebrations.

Did I say the most bananas? Well..
