Arsenal had their shot last season. I suspect they will not be as good this season.

We lost 2-0 last year in a game we controlled for an hour. That was under PV; and our defence and midfield may be better this time.

Why not 2-1?

However I suspect we will be the better team, take the lead, but then the referee will even things out and arsenal will win from one of the innumerable dead ball opportunities afforded to them.

we need 6-0 (or 7-1) to go top - goals scored you see - if we only win by a five goal margin then it would have to be 7-2 to overtake the weed! I'm changing my prediction from 0-2 (thought we were away for some reason) - I think 1-2 but we could get a 1-1 - if we had Olise and a sprightly new full back i'd be a lot more confident. With our CMs and DMs so solid I think we really need to get in full backs with more attacking threat - the club hasn't given up on Ferguson but it's the full backs and striker where we need to strengthen as a top priority.

If you're not on top of your game, and they are of theirs, Citeh, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea can beat you 9-0. We all know why. Never has the Premiership been less level a playing field. Financial Fair Play is a misnomer: it just exacerbates the gap between the mega rich and hoi polloi.

Still, just from time to time there's a result to keep you hoping. Like when under Allerdici we beat Arsenal 3-0. If only we had a craftsman like Cabaye still. Never replaced.
