What a satisfying day. Everyone played well, and both our goal and clean sheet were well deserved.

My only disappointment was that Mateta didn't do more with his opportunity, but we can't expect him to suddenly become strong with his back to goal. He's simply not built for it. Eze, too, might have done better on a couple of attacks, but his effort on defense was solid.

I thought that we would get slaughtered today so much humble pie to eat for supper tonight!
Well played Palace!

Oh my word, Ten Faggs is blaming a non excistant foul & Paul Merson actually praised Palace for their win,

In case it couldn't have got any better......I had a tenner on Andersen 1st and last goalscorer

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

Fantastic win. Amrabat and Casemiro are thugs and both should have been off early. Mateta needs to hold onto the ball and be stronger. Back 4 and keeper excellent and Hughes put in a shift. Worst game from Eze for a while but he has to do a lot on his own.

All in all a great day out for our fans and that’s probably shut a few biased reporters up.

At times, he very much reminded me of Macca - here, there and everywhere

What League Cup tie?

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

'Genuine question'. Is that a single bet i.e. you can get a price for a player to score the first goal and the last goal (with scoring the only goal counting)? I've not heard of that before (albeit I'm aware that you can bet on almost anything) but I imagine the odds are pretty long.

Talks***e were banging on all week about how poor we were in the Cup and not one of them acknowledged the fact we have multiple injuries and a poor second team. I am looking forward to their humble pie next few days.

I must say that Sam Johnstone looks every bit an essential key player to our defence ticking over in an efficient manner, and has made a number of saves, not only in this game.

Brilliant! Well done. Hope you got a nice lift.
I'm just in from the pub. Tried to avoid the score all afternoon (pub hasn't got Sky & the rugby was on) expecting a stuffing but it was impossible with 6 people updating me every minute.
Happy doesn't describe it. Any win there is to be cherished but especially after the cup game.
Well done boys.
