Actually they cut out the best bit. When Apu is told he is a citizen he asks where the benefits office is (he is joking).

It's a no brainer for the SC. Trump has not been convicted of insurrection ergo he is innocent. I suspect that even a Biden SC would find in his favour.

He doesn’t have to be convicted. It’s up to the responsible officer to decide whether any candidate complies with the necessary requirements to go on the ballot. The legal process only starts if a barred candidate challenges the decision to bar them.

Whether they are guilty of insurrection won’t be considered. That’s a separate issue which is being tried elsewhere. It might sway the decision but won’t be determined.

There is no such thing as a “Biden SC”. Only the SC which currently has a conservative majority. Should Trump actually win next year don’t rule out Biden appointing several new Justices as a parting gift just before he steps aside. With the Senate still controlled by the Democrats they would probably be confirmed. That could then act as an anchor to hold back any of Trump’s wilder ideas. He probably wouldn’t though preferring to allow the mess to become obvious rather than handing him more propaganda.

Appointing more SC judges would be counter productive as an incoming opposition would just appoint more.

The whole process would be ridiculous and faith would be lost within that system as well.

Probably why all that is a non starter.

Whether SC Justices get confirmed would depend upon the balance in the Senate. Although highly likely to swing to the Republicans if Trump did succeed it’s not certain.

The idea of Trump becoming President and both the Senate and the House being controlled by his supporters is enough to concern even the calmest.

So having even a brief period during which the SC could act as a check might be thought valuable. I can see there being many Court challenges.

Like I said one person takes it upon themselves to bar a national candidate and front runner denying the people the right to pass their own judgement.

American was founded on the principle of "No taxation without representation" this flies at the very heart of what the founding fathers intended.

The democrats should hang their head in shame and please don't pretend this is the actions of one individual that the party cannot control. Hardly any democrats have come out and condemned it.

The Democrats stole the 2020 Election. If Trump wins, then that is going to be exposed because this time its going to be much, much harder to fix anything for a variety of factors.

There are Democrats looking at jail time, along with a lot of FBI bods for the role they played in not only stealing the election from Trump but then effectively staging events on January 6th.

I suspect they will have Trump killed or seriously harmed before this is allowed to happen.

2024 is going to be the definition of 'interesting times'.

Although it would seem logical to think some within these organisations will be keeping eyes on whom they think may be involved with these insidious plots. Their allegiance will be for the right.

Within the FBI it is common knowledge that certain areas are definitialy pro-Trump and will act accordingly but the top jobs are primarily Biden affliated.

With the FBI's role in January 6th, when they actively provoked the situation, the key to understanding this.

I believe Trump already has his own security, as well at that provided based on his previous Presidential role and that the FBI are not involved in how that is staffed or run but if I was Trump I would be ramping up the protection.

A lot of senior people in the US have a lot to fear, and rightly so, Trump getting back into the Whitehouse.

Either way there is going to be a blood bath and I don’t mean totally metaphorically sadly.

That lady has been delegated the responsibility to take such decisions. It’s not her fault that we are uncharted territory because of the unique circumstances that Trump has delivered. She is just doing her job. No one is in a position to control that so I very much doubt if anyone else has spoken to her. I also doubt many Democrats are too pleased though as it works against them.

Only those who themselves are willing to interfere in democracy imagine that everyone does it. Remember one of Trump’s golden rules is to accuse your opponents of that you are guilty of. This is a coordinated campaign to divert attention from what he has done and establish him as a martyr.

I’m not fooled by it. Nor should anyone else here be for we can view this from a distance without being personally involved.

Of course they didn’t! Even the Republican election officials have confirmed there was no interference and the manufacturers of the voting machines have won cases for slanderous accusations.

The only one who tried, and failed, to steal the election was Trump.

The FBI have a constitutional duty to take action, without fear or favour, if they perceive of any interference. As that’s much more likely to involve Trump than anyone else your last lines may prove true.
