just listening to hurt by johnny cash one of the best records of last year without a doubt...yes i know johnny cash but download it and see...

BFLB, Please, if you haven't already, listen to the original version of Hurt by Nine Inch Nails. Personally, I felt that J Cash absolutely crucified the song.
As for best records of 2003 - Maria McKee's High Dive takes a bit of getting into, but an amazing voice and an excellent live show too.

just downloaded that version, defo a quality tune..

Firstly, I am a whippersnapper, only 17, but yet I still like Joy Division. Love em! 24 Hour Party People is just a class movie because of the music. New Order are great too, but in a different way obviously. Trust me my Croweating friend, the sound is so different it isnt't funny. I REALLY recommend you download Ceremony, Love Will Tear Us Apart & Atmosphere. Do it, DO IT NOW! And when you do, get back to me.

I like the Cure, but I haven't listened to enough of them to really know them. I have only heard their hits, to be perfectly honest. But I still like them all.

Well done to the fella who mentioned the Sleepy Jackson, a top band and local boys for me!

I really like Feeder, but you cant listen to too much of them, because they aren't really diverse. Great music, but their songs tend to be very similar. That isn't a criticism though, look at how Radio head slipped off the rails after OK Computer and before Hail to the Theif.

I like Johnny Cash's version of Hurt alot, but The Wanderer, his collaboration with U2 is just superb. A decade old though. Zooropa time.

Man the Coldplay DVD is indeed class. They turn every song on there into something better. Life is For Living is just the best finale they could have picked. And all this from a band that seem a bit more studio, but this DVD changed my perceptions of them completely. The tour diary is a bit of a laugh too.

I REALLY disliked the Starsailor album. Got it as a birthday pressie, and it bored me to bits. Really did. Mediocore is the only way to describe it, in relation to what else is on the market.

I don't like The Darkness much, but I really havent heard enough of them to pass judgement. I'll Download some of their stuff when I get my ADSL working again. Their popularity over in the old country is too much to ignore really.

I hate, feckin hate Evanescence, but I agree, the singer has a few good assets aboot her.

Dont like Jet, Are You Gonna Be My Girl is just too much of a rip off. But Roll Over DJ is decent.

This British Sea Power mob seem to be really down my alley, I must look into them.

Ahhh, thats the end of that chapter. I had to f***in rewrite this entire post, I lost the text before I posted it. APPRECIATE IT!

Yeah Jimble me ole china there is a couple of Christians in the band, but they're not strictly a Christian Rock Band though, although it certainly wouldn't worry me if they were, I also like the band Creed and they're full on Christian Rock. Why not? I'm a Christian myself, not born-again or church-going, but I certainly consider myself a Christian... sort of ...in an angry, violent kind of way!

Any of you trendy bods heard of Dutch streetpunk/hardcore band 'Discipline'? Their 'Rejects of Society' album is Hella good!

R Kelly - Ignition
Blu Cantrell and Sean Paul - Breathe
Craig David and Sting - Rise & Fall
Fabolous feat Tamia - I'm so into you
Pharrel and Snoop Dogg - Beautiful

I'm not into to any of this rock stuff, though I don't mind Coldplay or Blur.

R'n'B is the future!!
