I remember Jermaine Easter scoring a great goal at Vicarage rd a few seasons back and Whittle for Many was a hero.For me though Kugi's attitude to the fans was poor on many occasions Pi..ed me off.

Am I correct in recalling Kuqi being dropped, or fined, or sold - whatever it was - in response to his gestures to the Holmesdale End when he was substituted in one game. Terrible acquisition. Was it Peter Taylor or Neil Warnock who brought him in? Kuqi was in the same unlikeable category as Ruddock. (And who, while we're on the subject, brought him in?)

It was Peter Taylor who signed Kuqi.
At Ipswich, Joe Royle thought that Kuqi could injure himself by his celebration whereby he dived on to the ground with a mighty thud.

As a holder of a degree in history, I am contractually obligated to point out that "what if" doesn't exist in a historical context. What happened, happened. Who but the ball in the Scouser's net? On that day it was the Fab Four of Brighty (assisted by "John Pemberton, a wonderful run here" ), Gary-O, Andy G and Super Al.

He writes, "Unfortunately, the over-riding memory of his younger years was Dennis Uphill missing from two yards in the early sixties." I was a bit more charitable, with my "three yards".

Players can't help being not quite up to scratch, just not good enough etc., and I can accept that. A lot of the players mentioned fall into that category. For example, my expectation of Tommy Langley was low - and he duly lived up to that. It's the players that didn't try and never looked bothered that upset me. Not had too many down the years, but Jimmy Kebe is the best / worst example. Old, Ungifted and White

Players can't help being not quite up to scratch, just not good enough etc., and I can accept that.

A lot of the players mentioned fall into that category. For example, my expectation of Tommy Langley was low - and he duly lived up to that.

It's the players that didn't try and never looked bothered that upset me. Not had too many down the years, but Jimmy Kebe is the best / worst example.
