Again, we’ve spent a lot, a lot more than most and must reign it in a bit. Is that not sinking in still?

But we do need midfielders somehow.

I understand that completely, windows where we spent large (especially January, Cabaye, Benteke) but even then there WERE outgoings e.g. Bolasie £30m. However, I am baffled that we are turning a bind eye to fact that Bournemouth & Huddersfield have larger Net spends than ourselves over the past year? Is that because Bournemouth are prepared to break FFP rules and take the hit in order to stay up? I am unsure as to why we do not follow in a similar vein...

Either way, it is very frustrating that's for sure.

Bournemouth’s owner is a mega wealthy Russian so there’s your answer.

And Huddersfield are only in the 2nd year, plus parts of FFP is done every 3 years.

We’ve only sold Bolasie and if you look at the tables of net spend and wages again you’ll see that we’re very high up there and it’s unstable in our current setup.

It’s still not sinking in is it? A bit like someone in serious debt not opening the final reminders.

It's sunk in, my point is that it is frustrating to watch clubs that a considerably smaller than us making signings and being ambitious, with us standing and watching. The most frustrating part is that this is nothing new, we've had this for at least 6/7 windows whilst we've been in the Prem. Furthermore, the accounts shows payments to shell companies that are clearly there to expropriate funds to Parish and other investors e.g. trippling rent for the office in Soho? We have 2 American billionaire investors, who between them could easily inject cash to at least sign 1 or 2 players. What is more alarming the consistent lack of activity over the past 5 years, rather than just this specific window.

I feel I am not alone when saying that this is one of the most frustrating times to be a Palace fan, because we are 3 signings away from being a top 8 side, and 3 injuries away from being a bottom 3 side...

Are you sure he wants to prove himself on a higher stage? Has he said so?
If that was the case, he wouldn’t of chosen to play for the Ivory Coast, instead of forcing himself into the England side. He chose the easier option, as the Ivory Coast aren’t going to be playing the top international sides often.

We are close to breaking spending to revenue ratios and if we take on the same total of wages to those players we let go plus big transfer fees then we’ll break those ratio rules.

That has nothing to do with shell company payments or Parish’s salary. Where we’ve gone wrong and spent too much is down to a few reasons.

Poor/no scouting. Buying nearly all our players from the Prem or with Prem experience, although the upside is we’re ready to roll, if all are available.

Probably the poor Holloway window. It was a reason for troubles a few seasons ago and the problem only gets smoothed away over time. I don’t think it has that much at all. A lot of money wasted.

Not spending in summers and then spending more in January windows

Not buying a left back that summer and then buying 2 on premium left back wages and transfer fees. We could’ve bought one in the first place, got by and scouted for another Souare.

What do you expect Parish and CPFC to do then?

Chelsea's odds have fallen a lot today, i have heard that they would fancy Wilf to replace Hazard, staying in London at a top six side might be appealing to him.

If this were to be the case and Chelsea offered RLC plus Batshuayi and cash what would people think?

IMO i would seriously consider this, we are never going to replace Wilf and something like this could be the best possible outcome.

If they buy Benteke in a separate deal for decent money I’ll drive Wilf and Benteke to Cobham myself in tears of mixed emotions.

The odds for Chelsea aren’t that short. Dortmund are shorter because of outgoing players. [Link]

And next manager/player markets are a big money ‘mug punter’ cash cow for bookies.
