Dominic Cummings seemed to think there was a lot to learn from them and he’d been at the coalface every day until recently.

Sweden are also currently in a lockdown until the end of May as they got their initial approach drastically wrong too.

Of course I don’t think he created it but he let the fire rip through the country before he tried to put it out and it was too late. There was so much in Cummings’ testimony today that showed that many thousands of lives could have been saved with different decisions being taken.

He is thoroughly and dangerously incompetent.

That is a bold statement with no actual evidence.

Not sure how people are trying to still claim anything other than locking down hard and fast, including borders, was the approach to take

We have the benefit of data and hindsight now to be able to see that it was the only approach proven to minimise both deaths and economic impact.

130,000 deaths.

Dominic Cummings provided mountains of it today.

You like a number of other posters around Palace sites only have one ambition and that is to bash the Tories.

Your assertions are idiotic since there is no way to calculate the success of policy in terms of unnecessary deaths.
Without the vaccination program and lockdowns that you leftists have also complained about, the rate would have been much higher. With the usual suspects, the lockdowns were too soon, too late, too strict, too lenient, too long, too short. We got the vaccines, and then we heard that the government were forcing us to take them. Then of course people were angry not being able to take holidays and yet angry because borders were not closed. Don't forget the classic, Tories don't care about hardship and then suddenly they were wasting tax payers money on furlough payments.

Let's face it, you Leftists will complain about anything and everything even if you directly contradict yourselves.

Maybe it's because the party that supposedly represents you is a national joke and won't get elected in the next decade at least.

I don't agree, however, these arguments have been done to death so let's not re-run them.

It's about as pointless as arguing about Brexit after actual Brexit.

Because there’s now a shedload of data that proves your ‘personal freedoms at any cost’ ideology was ruinous both health wise and economically?

I've done this to death...if you don't mind the pun....Half my time was spent arguing with you about it, so you know that very well.

That's the honest truth...I could go into it again..but what's the point of me arguing about a path that was set over a year ago? It just bores me now.

You can just admit you were wrong and move on. Learning and growing from your mistakes makes you a better man
