A couple of sources linking us with Ross Stewart. He scores a few but has had injury problems.
A Sunderland striker with injuries?

Coventry signed him from Brighton for £1.1 Mill.
Good movement,is fleet of foot, mobile and holds the ball up well.
He does have a preference for playing with a strike partner.

A lot of clubs get linked with a plethora of players leading up to and during the 'Transfer Window', many rumours total and utter hogwash !!!!

Looks like a poor version of Sorloth to me, looking at his highlights, would be lucky to score 2 of them goals in the Premier league.

Stewart works hard off the ball, holds the ball up and is strong and mobile but he is never going to trouble defenders with his pace.
I am not expecting him to be wearing our colours in the next window.

Doesn’t matter who we have up front, the problem is the slowness in the way we work from the back to whoever is in the No 9 role. Our slowness gives the opposition time to regroup and defend in numbers. Until we sort our midfield out it won’t matter who plays up front?

Seems PV is now reacting to the inadequacy of the squad and would appear to disagree with Parish, seems like the same old story is repeating!

I do not believe that Steve Parish disagrees with PV, our Chairman has to consider the financial aspects. Our net spend since Mr Hodgson departed has been in excess of £100 Mill and we do not have unlimited funds.

Our net spend over five seasons is only 11.2mil and is one of the least in the league even though our owners are amongst the most wealthiest (Parish excepted). This lack of investment is now putting our EPL status at risk. The two original and richest american investors want out and the latest addition is more interested in a french club at present. Who selected them, Parish of course and whilst he may have done good for the club in the past his decision on partners has been poor and it is probably time for him to move on and let someone else who has money to invest buy the club otherwise I fear for our future, I sincerely hope I'm wrong but the indicators are not good!

It's been discussed on here many times, but any investors
that sign up do so in the knowledge that Parish is running the club on their behalf. This scenario will not of course appeal to everyone.

The alternative is for the club to be a rich man's plaything. That has more cons than pros in my opinion. As well as his desire to remain at the helm, Parish is also trying to run a football club in a sustainable way. That's not easy when you are competing with the wealth of the super rich and sovereign states.

If it has to be loans in this window, so be it. But they need to be good ones !

You need to look at the ins and outs.

The players which have gone went mostly for free yet all the people coming in we paid for.

Next the wage bill.

Having wealthy owners doesn't mean anything it's not the clubs wealth.

The owners have invested in the likes of the academy.

What do you want a large loan from them and to go over wage budget get hit by the likes of FFP or have the club needing to pay back lots of money not really good business for a club our size is it.

I expect a lot of funds are put aside for the development of the ground.

The current manager has had plenty of investment and you could say this is the best squad we have had since being in Prem yet the manager doesn't know how to use them.
