That’s just more Mail scaremongering. I am constantly surprised that so many fall for it.

Did you miss where it says “extremely rare” side effects?

It’s hardly a surprise. Every medication has rare side effects. Clinicians are not going to scare people by making a big deal when the benefits so outweigh the risks.

The Mail will though.

That did not take you long WE!

I think it is important that, for the first time, AZ have admitted that their “vaccine” does, in certain circumstances, cause blood clots.

A good rule of thumb, if unsure on any issue, is to see what Wisbech is saying about it and then take the opposite view - you won't go far wrong.

The side-effects either weren't investigated more fully at the time, else they were known,....and joe public wasn't given the information in which they could make a fair judgment on whether to vaccinate, or not. Government speak of a 'push' to vaccinate, but trying to bulldoze vaccination through , whilst withholding information is tantamount to lying.
Just my opinion.

Did they ever deny it? Somehow I doubt it. They might not have confirmed it, probably because of a lack of reliable data, but as it’s not in anyway unexpected I anticipate they would just have been careful with their language.

Or, more likely, the instances are so extremely rare that no data set existed on which to base any kind of reliable advice.

When the evidence is so overwhelmingly in favour of the benefits of vaccination versus the extremely unlikely risks of harm the last thing that’s sensible is to misinform and scare people unnecessarily. Especially given the level of vaccine hesitancy that now exists caused by the misinformation flow from the scurrilous anti-vax movement.

Might be that some of that hesitancy is caused by Boots charging £98.95 per jab.

Not among the group who really arebthe priority. I got the Spring booster last week. Cost nothing but 10 minutes of my time.

You would need to have a very specific need to consider paying that much.

So everyone not over 75, doesn't have a weakened immune system or lives in a care home needs a very special need. Where does vaccine hesitancy come into it?

It’s there. Even among the groups you mention who can keep up to date for free. The last time I checked the uptake was well down.
