I have, Billy Gilbert

Fulham are interested as well which makes sense if Mitrovic is off to Saudi.

Do we try hard enough with some of these gettable signings to force them over the line? We seem remarkably quiet. Could we become the next Burnley 2021-22 due to lack of strengthening of FULL squad?

We've already had awful squads. Didn't we have 19 first team players where three were goalies at one stage? We rarely have a realistic 25 man squad. We've had no players in certain positions for periods of time. Striker at one stage, and left back at one stage. We were even down to Speroni in goal, who was a coach, away at Liverpool and maybe one or two other games. We didn't do a Burnley those times. They were real Championship quality all around. We have a few good players - still lacking in some places but some decent players in our team.

His record is around 1 goal per 5 games in the Premier League and around 1 in 3 in the Championship.
Presumably would be a replacement for Mateta, and he has more to his game than Mateta in terms of team contribution.
Such a move doesn't really answer the need for a clinical striker though if it would be the intention that Adams should be first choice.
Perhaps the hope is that Roy can somehow get a tune out of Edouard as first choice striker, but I'm not confident on the evidence of watching Edouard over the past couple of seasons.

If this is all we can afford I am happy with that. Adams is a hard working striker who wont get many goals but will be more of a presence that our current front 2.

Best season in Pl is 9. He’s averaged 6.25 goals per season while in PL with Southampton. Seems like a worthy addition to our collection of non goal scoring strikers

Works hard and runs a lot.

I don't think there is a club in the world silly enough to swap a bog brush for Mateta, let alone a £15m rated player.

Not overly excited but if we could sell Mateta and get Adams for approx same money I'd go for it.
We can't afford a top striker/they wouldn't come, so cut your cloth accordingly.

Yep, agree with that.
