True, but comparing gross spend is not a fair comparison. Our low spend is due 0 income and having a solid 1st team. Other clubs have spent considerably more because: A. They have sold or And some clubs have simply sold to balance the books, making much weaker than last season.
I am not a bot. No, seriously, I'm not. |

So only Everton with £12mil are on less spent? Spend is a bit irrelevant, its what you get for your money. How much would Lerma been if he was under contract at Bournemouth? Lerma will turn out to be the best bargain, we have ever had.

Well assuming there was a big signing on fee and he's on around £60,000 a week, I'd still take John McCormick bought for £1,500 and probably on around £50 a week when he started With all the demand for central midfielders, I wonder what it would take for us to sell Lerma

I refrained in being too joyous when we signed Lerma to mitigate any ridicule for it (and the subsequent desire to defend my delight). Spend might be irrelevant with regards to a singular transfer but we need several players, most notably wingers. I definitely wanted a partner for Doucoure so box ticked with Lerma, and I wouldn’t say no to a purported Brazilian wonderkid of course, but being the division’s second lowest spenders when we need full backs, wingers and a second choice GK is relevant for me. By a similar token, arguably our best player left for nothing, which would not be reflected in ‘net’. It’s not a massive moan from me in any instance, merely an observation.

Again today the same convoluted headlines are popping up from the usual clickbait sites (GiveMeSport for example) OR... Did he just not have any Palace content on there in the first place?

Well, there's no Palace stuff on his Instagram page either and I'm certain there was a week ago. I'm starting to think Chelsea have tried to unsettle him in the hope they can push through a lowball bid, Palace have told them to do one (as there's no release clause) and that's why the Hall deal hasn't gone through and why everything has ground to a halt ending with Olise getting upset and deleting his social media content. All conjecture of course, but would make sense.

Everyone knows he plays for (maybe soon to be played for Palace) so not sure what deleting stuff achieves.
