It's easy to negotiate from your armchair having no details, no skin in the game and no knowledge whatsoever of how these deals actually get done. None of us were in the room when they signed the contracts. I'm sure (guessing) just about everyone around at the time of signing MO from Reading would have said its a huge win if Palace made $27M profit in 2 years from the deal they crafted. It's a shame we can't keep him if the rumours are true but saying Dougie and team negotiated a bad deal just isn't true. There are very few businesses around (yes we are a business) that wouldn't take this profit.
