they should re-make Countdown. Instead of Carol Vorderman, they could have Diane Abbott & the Spirit of Jade Goody

How about Timeslip, more great sci-fi

I didn’t remember timeslip so I googled it, I see it was on TV in 1970/71, I was probably too busy watching Catweazle and The Double Deckers then

i bought the box set of catweazle DVDs for my then 15 year old son to watch after he had watched all of Wurzel Gummidge and he enjoyed both programms

Wurzel has been remade but I thought that the main character didn't have the charm of the original

I was never a great fan of wurzel, i think I was a larey teenager by the time that came out and I thought it was beneath me but I loved Catweazle, I watched them all a few months ago for old time sake and still enjoyed it, electrickery and all that

You could remake Stig of the Dump and set it in Tower Hamlets.

Me too. Geoffrey Bayldon was brilliant. Electrickery and the telling bone still get mentioned from time to time.

Would love to see Gerry Andersons UFO remade. But could it ever be as good as the original?

Probably not, that was way ahead of its time and was excellent

The strange thing was, it was supposed to be in the future, 1980!! it’s funny what the makers of a show in 1970 thought what the world would be like in just 10 years time.
