You are happy enough to throw numbers around so you are now saying they cannot be proven.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

This is what protesters are agreeing with by their actions.
Muslim laws in a Muslim country but in time it’s coming here!

It won’t be coming here but judging by some of the attitudes often found in these pages this particular law might be welcomed.

Explain this; as I guess you feel that if some don’t agree with mutilation of kids without some sort of conversation, and a want to try to find out why they want it done then they are wrong. Because you agree with it, it doesnt make it right.

I neither understand this comment nor the connection to the fact that Iraq is passing an anti LGBT law.

I think the reason you are seeing LGBT movements and other NGOs being banned in certain countries is because they get funded by intelligence services to agitate for change within those countries.

Personally, if this didn't happen I would be against their banning because personally I think freedom to live your life should be protected within socially conservative societies.....for example Boy George became a thing under a Thatcher government.

What's important is that you aren't actually a front for foreign governments.

The US accuse other governments of doing exactly what they do themselves. For example, we know that they spent 5 billion on Ukraine to help overthrown its government leading up to 2014.

None of this should happen.

i am starting to wonder if the USA is arranging for some tactical positioning of weapons/troops out of this. Perhaps in some new Palestinian area which might be overseen by the USA. Or maybe they'll get Netanyahu ousted and put in a puppet regime.

Well, they just passed a bill to rearm Israel significantly and replace all their used munitions so.....I don't see that myself.

The Democrats...and to be honest the Republicans are both compromised by donors who are very rich and pro Israel.

That conflicts with their voting base, much more so with non boomer aged Democrats and increasingly with Republican youth who are increasingly America first types....which is anti neo con and isolationist.

So they are both between a rock and a hard place politically....but as the Democrats are at the helm and forwarding the bills they are obviously the focus of the heat.

Obviously our politics is very different Steely.

But I watched the video and I didn't really hear a dishonest word said.

Pasted from a source.

'Pressure is mounting on Israel's leadership to prevent the IDF operation in Rafah and reach a hostage deal in exchange for a lasting truce.

"Nobody wants Israel to enter Rafah. The only way to avoid this is to conclude a hostage deal," an Israeli official told the Times of Israel.

According to the American portal Axios, Israel's latest proposal includes a willingness to discuss "restoring sustainable calm" in the Gaza Strip after the hostages are released.

Citing Israeli officials, the publication writes that "for the first time in the nearly seven-month war, Israeli leaders said they were ready to discuss ending the war."

US Secretary of State Blinken will fly to Israel on Tuesday. At the same time, a diplomatic meeting will be held in Saudi Arabia, where the parameters of the deal will be discussed.

In Israel itself, the opinions of politicians are divided and pressure on Prime Minister Netanyahu comes from two sides - both from opponents of the operation in Rafah and from its supporters.

Minister without portfolio Benny Gantz (formerly one of the opposition leaders) called on the Netanyahu government to resign if it launches an operation in Rafah and rejects the hostage deal. "The return of our hostages abandoned by the government on October 7 is urgent," Gantz said. He threatened that he would leave the government if agreements were not reached.

Opposition leader Yair Lapid spoke in the same vein. He promised the government support in the Knesset if ministers opposed to the deal leave.

There are two such ministers - Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.

Smotrich said the government "will have no right to exist" if Israel does not attack Rafah. He said the deal was “a humiliating capitulation, giving victory to the Nazis at the expense of hundreds of heroic IDF soldiers who died in battle.”

“This is a defining moment for the people of Israel. The decision is yours.
Draw strength and courage from Jewish history, from the Exodus from Egypt, and from the history of the Jewish people. From Moses and Nachshon ben Aminadab, who stood by the sea exactly 3,365 years ago on this night, overcame the weaknesses of part of the people and determined the further history of the Jewish people,” Smotrich said.

Ben Gvir also said that "a reckless deal is tantamount to dissolving the government."

Let us remember that the United States is actively lobbying for the deal with Hamas.

Also yesterday , The Times wrote that Netanyahu and a number of his ministers could be subject to a warrant from the International Criminal Court - which is also apparently part of the pressure on the Israeli leadership.'
