If this kid is being advised properly then coming to Palace should be a no brainer. He won’t get near the other clubs first teams to begin with and if he proves successful with us, he has plenty of time ahead of him to make the next step up to one of the big clubs Old, Ungifted and White

If he were to join us then he would play. If he goes to Chelsea, then he may never see the first team pitch let alone play on it and Newcastle are mired in FFP, so we seem a sensible solution, if Blackburn are prepared to sell him.

Absolutely, going to Chelsea would be career suicide Unfortunately I just cant see this. If we were in a better position, I'd say 100%. Buy and loan him back. However we are in the sticky stuff and we probably need our money spent on first team ready players.

In reality in cant really believe it has much to do with DF. His job is to sell the dream, but I'd hope that with the youth investment and England call ups it should be an easy sell.... Its going to be more of a case of: How much we want him If we have the money they want/if he's worth it If its clear on his role in the team/squad (e.g. what happens when Docoure is fit, automatic starter etc )

How much we want him

If we have the money they want/if he's worth it

If its clear on his role in the team/squad (e.g. what happens when Docoure is fit, automatic starter etc )

Chelsea would certainly be able to, and actively try to loan him back to them for the rest of the season. it's what they do! If he looks at us and sees how we have preferred a a CB to fill in for Doucoure's absence, instead of the promising young talent we already have in Ozoh, he'd hardly be seeing us as a having a definite starting place. can't say I'd be choosing us over the likes of chelsea and spurs right now.
