Tell me Billy Gibbons did not die?! One of the finest hard-rockin blues players ever! Anyway the answer to the greatest guitar solo: it's from the Isaac Hayes version of the Look of Love and proceeds for over 3 minutes with so many ideas within. I think the player is Michael Toles, formerly of the Bar-Kays.

Too many! Good call, gets forgotten, John Peel loved that track
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

Before passing my suggestion I'd like to give my whereabouts, I'm one of the most devoted Eric Clapton fans around and a rock music fan from 1967. But try this one-Quintessence/Sea of Immortality, guitarist Alan Mostert, one of the best guitar solos I have ever heard, way back into the end of the sixties, beginning of the seventies. Not bad, takes a while to get going, rest of the track is very Jethro Tull.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |
