Or are architects and planners deciding that it is in the common interests of us all to try to ensure religious observances are kept private? If I am sitting in an airport lounge, or restaurant, I don’t want to witness others performing the acts associated with their personal beliefs, whatever they might be, anymore than I want to witness any other kind of personal act! We provide private toilet facilities and ban lewd behaviour. Why is this any different?

Whenever I see a prayer room at an airport it makes me laugh. Imagine if you are nervous about flying and then you see that. Hardly encouraging. Tannoy "Last call for Dan Dare Airline, will all passengers in the Prayer Room please make their way to the gate". Edited by Badger11 (19 Apr 2024 8.28am)

I've it happening in Iran but not here that I remember.

I have seen it though. It’s not just Muslims praying 5 times daily that I object to. It’s any kind of religious observance.
