Take a look at the voting map for London blue on the outside red inside.

In the last 2 elections the Tories have fielded 2 hopeless candidates and still they weren't a million miles from defeating Khan.

If they had put up a half decent candidate they might have surprised themselves.

Anyway 4 more years of him, did you know his dad was a bus driver

More useful than his son then.

Labour will have to deal with the aftermath of conservative c*** ups. No gain without pain.

I think the c*** ups are more to do with behaviour than the running of the country.

Boris, lying about lockdown. Electing Liz Truss. The cutting of the higher rate of tax. Giving PPI contracts to " mates" the list goes on.

It really is a job that as long as Khan wants it he will have it. Not once did he look nervous about it.

We all know he won it as a cultural vote.

So here we have a very clear demonstration of how immigration will allow the left to control London and other big cities with the help of the immigrant vote. Kahn is hugely unpopular with the vast majority of White British Londoners and yet still wins

The White British population will see Britain continue to deteriorate and become prisoner to the whims of Islam, loony left activists and any other nuttery that is slung its way.
They have to get their heads out of the sand to pay attention. We are on the brink of a cultural extinction.

Perhaps some Londoners like free school meals, didn't want to vote for a racist and like to breathe in clean air as well!

A solid victory for Khan who is an experienced politician and will have green and lib-dem support.

He will be able to look back and say he made London a greener, fairer and healthier place, despite hostile tory governments.

He is always calm and collected despite the abuse he receives.

Tories fiddling the voting system back-fired, they were negative and offered nothing, because they have failed completely.

A late win at West Midlands finishes the rout of the tories.

Keeping Sunak is another bonus for Labour, he is unelected and there is no reason to think he ever would be.

Pray for London now, out of control knife crime to continue, policing in a state of not fit for purpose, ads on TFL showing hot dogs banned etc, the motorist made a target.

I can't disagree with most of what you say. I would point out that Khan is an Inner London Mayor as the voting map of Greater London shows.

I get if you live in central London pollution is an issue but there is also plenty of public transport. Khan however is imposing this on outer London where many places are rural and don't have good public transport hence them voting against him.

He will ignore outer London as he has his mandate but that does not make for a good Mayor failing to recognise that different areas have different concerns.

The Conservative candidate was weak and basically ran a one policy campaign of cancel the ULEZ charge.

You wonder if they wanted to win, can you imagine trying to rebuild the Met from ground up at training school through to weeding out and speeding up the sacking of those with dodgy back grounds and those running political agendas and ignoring direction from the Home Office etc.

London is quite a poison chalice these days

You can tell how bad the re-election of Genghis is when the crypto-communists hail it as a great victory.

Outer London voted Tory on a single issue ULEZ.

I personally am not a fan of Khan as his idea of London centres around zones 1 - 3 and I don't think he really cares about anything else as he knows that focus will see him home.

But the conservative candidate for mayor was possibly one of the weakest candidates I had ever seen. She had one trump card scrapping ULEZ but seemed to have little idea how to play it. Instead she seemed to want to scare the population into buying into this myth that London is somehow so scary that you can't walk outside wearing a watch.

Mind you if it was that scary maybe people were just too scared to leave their house to vote.

London is a bit of a s##t hole on parts but so is everywhere else but I don't feel more unsafe walking the streets (even in the Cronx than I would do anywhere else. I went up to central London last night and was not attacked set upon but cut purses or abused by illegal immigrants. There was a fairly raucous hen party but I survived.

But maybe now in general it is politics that is dying . I see that some.areas of conservative vote are already muttering about a loss due to electoral fraud so maybe the Trump factor is in play.

I just think for a lot of people now we see apathy (they are all as bad..) dogma (if you do not agree with me you are mad/wrong) or unbridled self interest (I will do x for me and sod the rest of you.) All parties seem to lack a bit of leadership and statesmanship. Be interesting to see what happens at the General election and tactically when Sunak calls it. I can only assume the date will be influenced by when he has negotiated his bumper contract with a US Hedge fund or bank, checked his green card and agreed his starting date.
