Simon Jordan has dismissed a reported £6m bid from Everton for Andy Johnson.
Johnson has handed in a transfer request and wants to leave to further his England career. But Jordan insists his star striker, who Spurs are also chasing, is not for sale.
"What does Everton chairman Bill Kenwright think he will get for £6m? Andy Johnson's trainers," Jordan told the News of the World.
"Andy will be starting the season with Crystal Palace. Apart from anything else, it makes sound business sense.
"Why even accept £10m for him if the club can benefit to the tune of £25m by getting back in the Premiership.
"Our opening match against Luton doesn't sound too glamorous but our intention is to bounce straight back.
"Our best chance to do that is with Andy."
