Neil Danns

Neil Danns scored on his comeback from injury to help Crystal Palace reserves win 3-2 against QPR.

The midfielder is battling his way back from a groin injury that has sidelined him since the end of last season.

And he played his part in Palace's opening goal in the 23rd minute by winning a penalty after Rs defender Femi Ilesana hauled him down. Simon Thomas stepped up to put away the penalty kick.

Danns doubled the lead with a far post header from Nathaniel Clyne's pin-point cross from the right.

Rangers pulled a goal back in the 55th minute as Hogan Ephraim surged forward and cross for Angelo Balanta to fire past Darryl Flahavan from just inside the area.

Ephraim made it 2-2 with a superb 20-yard free-kick into the top right corner past the outstretched arms of Flahavan.

But late on, substitute Michael Abnett grabbed the vital winning goal to give the Eagles a thrilling victory.
