Crystal Palace and QPR played out a goalless draw at Loftus Road.
The Eagles rarely threatened in the first half with Rangers looking more likely to break the deadlock.
Former Palace winger Wayne Routledge, who was booed by the visiting fans on his every touch, initiated the first chance feeding Liam Miller with a precision pass but Julian Speroni blocked his attempt.
Spurs loanee Adel Taarabt danced past a couple of Palace defenders before firing at Speroni from the edge of the box.
Then Speroni was alert to stop Nathaniel Clyne diverting a Rangers cross into his own net, while Clint Hill was booked for body checking Routledge.
Just before half-time, Claude Davis was shown a yellow card for a rash foul on striker Samuel Di Carmine which led to Rs manager Paulo Sousa geting sent to the stands for protesting at the defender's challenge.
The first bit of action in the second half was at QPR's end with keeper Radek Cerny palming over a brilliant shot from Palace's teenage striker Victor Moses and defender Jose Fonte headed just over the bar.
The hosts hit back as Di Carmine saw a shot well blocked then Routledge stabbed Damien Delaney's centre wide of the goal.
Taarabt missed a glorious chance on 59 minutes when he got on the end of Routledge's pass but blazed over as this London derby ended up all square.
