Palace v Manchester City

Selhurst Park, Sunday 12.00pm

Selhurst Park

Selhurst Park

Team news

Eagles manager Roy Hodgson will assess his players on the day of the game with many carrying knocks from Thursday's defeat at home to Arsenal.

Hodgson may decide to rest a couple of names against City due to the heavy festive fixture schedule. However, defender Mamadou Sakho (calf) and striker Connor Wickham (knee) are definitely out.

Manchester City stars David Silva, Fabian Delph, Vincent Kompany and John Stones are injury worries for manager Pep Guardiola, while Phil Foden (ankle) is out.

Quotes

Roy Hodgson

"We have a few knocks. There's no doubt that when I see the players tomorrow there will be several doubtful. Not necessarily serious injuries, but they may be sufficient to keep them out [against] Man City. The squad is not enormous.

"I know our fans will be back on Sunday to support us in the same way. We'll put out the best 11 we can and those players will be doing their level best."

Pep Guardiola

"It's not easy to maintain our focus in [the festive] period, everyone is on holiday, everyone has a party at home.

"To be focused after 17 games in a row is not easy but we did it [against Newcastle]. We are so happy to win again and just think about Selhurst Park now.

"Of course we are so happy to break records, because we keep having one more, one more, but when we prepare for games we don't speak about records, we just speak about what we have to win."
