Crystal Palace ran out 4-1 winners away at Leicester City.

Victory means the Eagles move a step closer to safety on the day Palace manager Roy Hodgson became the oldest Premier League manager (71 years and 198 days).

Michy Batshuayi broke the deadline against the run of play five minutes before half-time when he diverted James McArthur's shot past Kasper Schmeichel for his first goal in Palace colours.

Foxes defender Jonny Evans gave the home side some hope when he levelled matters in the 64th minute.

Wilfried Zaha then glided in at the far post to slot home McArthur's dinked cross and put Palace back in front in the 70th minute.

Evans clumsily brought down Jeffrey Schlupp in the penalty area and Luka Milivojevic put away the resulting spot kick on 81 minutes for 3-1.

Zaha added a some gloss to the score-line with fourth goal in the third minute of injury time with a counter-attacking goal that ended with a fierce finish beyond Schmeichel.

Leicester: Schmeichel, Fuchs, Maguire, Evans, Pereira, Ndidi, Barnes (Okazaki 85), Maddison, Tielemans (Iheanacho 74), Ghezzal (Gray 45), Vardy.

Subs not used: Ward, Soyuncu, Morgan, Mendy.

Palace: Guaita, Van Aanholt, Tomkins, Sakho (Dann 77), Ward, Schlupp, McArthur, Milivojevic, Townsend (Kouyate 80), Zaha, Batshuayi (Ayew 86).
