While I accept that almost all politicians are suspect, the universal denigration of all of them is unnecessary. You may have a legitimate disagreement with them on policy and you - Nick - more than most.

But if we take that level of debate on to your territory, we could just add Scargill and add 'thief/nutter'. I don't think it advances the debate.

I think it does. It's a simple way to help some posters adopt stereo typical views of other posters.

Well it does of course, if that is your aim. Hardly a solid basis for an extended dialectic debate though, is it?

Unashamedly a 'Thatcherite'.
Your final repulsive comment was beyond the pale. There have been some well-known politicians who have passed away whom I abhored but I would never stoop to the level of expressing my delight at their passing.
Anyway, lets return to UKIP and the forthcoming EU election.

Mmmm....That says more about you than it does about her.

Please provide some credible evidence that Nigel Farage is personally a racist to back up your thoughts.

Thank you.

No. For me the poster is about supposed general perceptions of each party. That was the point I was making.

You claimed earlier that I started this thread just to rile you and castigated me for it. Let me assure you it wasn't.
What's interesting is how often you mention me or a couple of other posters names in your post followed by a barbed comment. A tad hypocritical I think.
Just to show you I didn't start this thread to rile you, ( my reason for starting it was to chuck a metaphorical hand grenade into general talk) I am not going to respond to you anymore in this thread.

The picture you posted specifically stated that Nigel Farage was a racist. You can't back this up with facts.

You can take what you want as hypocrisy from me, I don't care. The fact is I have challenged you and the other lefties on here to back up your prejudice on UKIP and you haven't. Your accusation of hypocrisy is frankly pathetic and the last desperate actions of a defeated individual.

We know why you aren't going to respond to me on this thread anymore - because we have exposed the massive holes in your prejudiced views.

You have been unable to back up your accusations and you have confirmed that you form opinions off the back of any old toot you read off the Internet and use these as 'facts'.

Have a good weekend Gusset.

Apparently net immigration into this country per year is around about the population of the city of Southampton.

Those who have supported the immigration (EU) policies of the main parties are partly responsible for the genuine suffering undergone by the mainly working class people of this country.

Downgrade in housing chances.
Downgrade in public services provision.
Downgrade in job chances.
For certain jobs, a downgrade in wages.

Large sections of the left and some on the right have their heads stuck in the sand and won't be happy until this small island is shoulder to shoulder.

As I've said, the issue needs to be discussed Stirling. I just don't think UKIP are the right way to go...

Without Ukip representing these concerns the topic would have continued to be dismissed.

Before Ukip all you would hear was the left characterizing these elements as the views of 'bigots'....You'd be called racist and demonised and dismissed. Others would just deny there was even a problem.

No other party tackled this issue.....What right do they now have to pretend to care?

I hear you. But there are other parties that are anti eu. Why are they not getting as much coverage? (That said, Dave Nellist of TUSC was on the Daily Politics the other day , though I haven't had a chance to watch it yet)
