Yes at least JP, Edouard and Ayew have struggled to score goals at the highest level which is now regarded as the hardest league in the world, we’ve had some rubbish upfront in our old division 1, division 2/championship days. Chris Jones, Tommy Langley, Ally Brown, Andy McCulloch, Tony Mahoney, Trevor Aylott, Gareth Taylor, Calvin Andrew, Wayne Andrews, yaya sanogo, Andy Preece just off the top of my head.
Rattling that lot off actually makes me appreciate the fellas we’ve got now tbh

Sacrilege!! He was part of that awesome, talented, team of fighters at Hillsborough on THAT day, of which i was privileged to witness.. How Very Dare You. . . .

Thinking on it I too could provide a list as long as your arm but going back as far as I can remember I seem to recall Bobby Kellard and Jim Scott were a pair of cart horses that old Bert Head snapped up for complete bargains

Maybe harsh on Bobby Kellard who was a combative midfield player and did his bit to keep us up.

That’s right, he was prolific that pre-season

Nowhere near the worst we have had. We even got a fee when he left. For recent times we've had Sanogo, Marange, Fryers. For the 70s and 80s too many to count. There were journeymen and fat journeymen, many who seemed to not quite ever get to the end of their journey - if they could find it.

Started ok. Gradually became a liability and fat. He's on life insurance ads for men now. Saves him several hundred a month on his premium.

Living near Gillingham I’ve never forgiven him for missing that penalty at their ground on Boxing Day about 20 years ago. I know we got stuffed 4-1 and anyone can miss a penalty, but we were still in the game then and it was the way he arrogantly pulled rank and made it clear he was taking it after only being on the pitch a few minutes. At that time losing to Gillingham was not good
