If a march was shown with chanting and banners it would not get any interest from me. I regard such things as people just letting off emotional steam and a waste of time. However the marches you seem to be referring to are hardly likely to be “pro Hamas” in the minds of the majority of participants are they? They are much more concerned about the loss of life of innocents. At least we agree that wearing face coverings to avoid identification isn’t acceptable.

The officer's behaviour was 'exemplary and he will not be disciplined - Met Chief. Neither will he be resigning himself. The police have done very well and the pro-Palestine marches remarkably orderly in view of what is happening to them. Contrast to the far-right bunch of thugs in London yesterday. He wouldn't be trying to shove his way through onto that one.

The guy was trying to provoke reactions which the police cannot permit. It’s their job to ensure peaceful protests remain peaceful.

They are required to ensure the peace is kept and deal with behaviour that might threaten it.

The point is , if he was attacked by the pro-Palestinian mob it would have proved the weekly marches are not " peaceful " if you are of a different opinion. It's a peaceful mob only as long as you don't question what they are doing, which makes the Met look biased again. Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |
