The incidents of antisemitism are, I suspect, 90% committed by young, male Muslims. The issue is the media which can't say that because of allegations of islamophobia.

Anyhow, I would be amazed if there were any incidents of antisemitism that didn't come from those two sources.

Sounds familiar.

I simply cannot engage with religious nonsense, regardless of which book it's in.

2024 and most people still live in the dark ages.
It's depressing.

That is a reasonable post save the bit highlighted.

The hard far left were always a different side to the same coin as the hard far right. The Red Army were no lover of Jews or other minorities when they fought the NAZIs. This much is likely.

Chanting from the river to the sea on a march is anti semitic, it is a Hamas slogan,

Every Saturday this is chanted on the streets of London by idiots who don't know what it means waving their free hand out Scialist Worker sign.

These people may not physically attacking Jews but they are being anti semitic even if out of stupidity.

Every time there is are interviews of people on these marches most have little or or no idea of the issues and history involved, they just think its a trendy thing to do

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

I've no doubt this guy deliberately went to the march to prove a point, and his point was proven.

A Jewish person can't walk freely in London because of pro Palestinian marches.

As a Leftist, I'm sure you are happy to be antisemitic like all your idiot friends.

I don’t have idiot friends. Which is why I have never befriended you.

The point that was proven is that a group of nasty looking bullies is not allowed to push through a protest on multiple occasions, especially when they dress to make it clear they are the counter protest group.

Thank you Heir Wisbech.

You spend your days in an imaginary struggle with right wing evil and yet you are happy to see the movements of Jews restricted so that Muslims can dominate our capital.

You need to retire your wooden stake and crucifix and take up fishing.

Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (25 Apr 2024 10.55am)

I am not saying anything remotely like that.

Jews can, as can everyone else, go freely wherever they wish that isn’t temporarily restricted. If it is so restricted the restrictions include them.

It has nothing to with anyone’s religion, Jew or Muslim, or whether they are protesting or opposing protesting. It has only to do with crowd control and the availability of police resources.,

I have not witnessed these marches. Or have any interest in them. Nor do I have any sympathy for Hamas.

That said it cannot be right to describe those who oppose Zionism and do not accept Israel as a legitimate state, as anti-semitic. Being anti-semetic is simply hating all Jews. Hating the state of Israel is not hating Jews. It’s hating having had a situation imposed on them, without consultation, as a consequence of events in WW2.

That statement is clearly and unequivocally anti-Semitic.

Opposing the establishment of a Jewish homeland where it is, and in the way it was done, is anti-Zionism. Not anti-Semitic.

Many people are both, but not all are. Many others seem to confuse the terms.

Abusing Jews whilst they are walking the streets is most certainly anti-Semitic. A common occurrence. I am surprised that you have not seen any of the marches on the national news. Perhaps if they were a TR inspired March you would have more knowledge of them

I don't care what label people give it. Whether it's coming from a third worldist Jew or a white Antifa commie I'm anti this person.

There are European Jews who oppose these people and I'm with them and everybody else who oppose these people.

It's not anti semitic but anti egalitarian/commie.

Of course it is but is nothing to do with the point. As I said, many who are anti-Zionism are also anti- Semitic but they are not interchangeable terms.

I don’t watch much TV News these days. I prefer to listen and read about events, and only watch if there that will better inform. Watching any bunch of people repeating slogans and waving banners, whatever their cause might be, is a waste of my time. I’d get more from watching paint dry.

as always, its complex. The most antiSemitic feckers in history were the Nazi's. A group who, if i recall correctly, wanted a homeland for the Jews....off in the Middle East somewhere. Hence the Nazis were Zionists.

and equally, some Jews are very anti-Israel.

even the term Semitic.....encompasses the Jews and also many other tribes in the region. i cannot remember but may include some Christian assyrians and Persian types. i believe its really a linguistic term - rather than a religious term.

And then it gets really whacky when you reflect on the similarities between the Semitic languages and the Celtic languages. All descended from Anatolian Farmers of 10,000 years ago....and still kept some of the grammar intact today.
