Do you understand the rules? You cant challenge for the ball with studs first off the ground, end of.

I did enjoy that bit where the through ball into the box & JP actually meant to dummy it to Eze this time, unlike the lucky dummy we got in similar circumstances against Brentford.

The lack of intent in our play is so disappointing . It was illustrative to compare the approaches of both teams . Danjuma hit four dangerous crosses in the first twenty minutes and this pattern continued with McNeil , Harrison and their full backs all knocking the ball across from various angles. Fortunately they were without Doucoure who has been getting on the end of second balls and knock downs. Furthermore our defence did reasonably well against the onslaught. On the other hand Mateta had very little service and had to try and create his own situations battling alone against the robust Tarkowski and Branthwaite. Our static approach play , lack of forward passes and crosses and lack of attacking intent was on full display. This is down to coaching and our negative approach to games which seems designed more not to lose than to try to win. It’s a home game in the 3rd round of the cup, not a relegation 6 pointer. Play with some ambition and recognise forward passes are allowed and the aim of the game is also to score .

I'm glad I chose not to waste 2 days to go down to London to see that garbage - just the two hours in front of the TV hoping (increasingly against hope) that we might try and play some incisive football. The only positives for me were: 1. França got a decent number of minutes but even that was spoilt by his team mates forgetting he was on the pitch in the first 25 minutes or so. 2. Mateta continued to show decent form but was let down by a woeful lack of service.

I'm glad I chose not to waste 2 days to go down to London to see that garbage - just the two hours in front of the TV hoping (increasingly against hope) that we might try and play some incisive football.

The only positives for me were:
1. França got a decent number of minutes but even that was spoilt by his team mates forgetting he was on the pitch in the first 25 minutes or so.

2. Mateta continued to show decent form but was let down by a woeful lack of service.

The obsession with defensive shape overrides all other considerations, and it shows. We are an incredibly dull side, the team reflects the manager and his football philosophy. There's absolutely nothing to get enthused about, only frustration. A new manager can't come soon enough.

I made the decision to travel up from the south coast to witness this garbage.Total and utter dross and YET AGAIN our supporters have been short-changed at Selhurst Park.

My patience has run thin and I was venting my spleen at the game.
Rest assured,I was exceedingly snappy and cross-tempered but managed to refrain from the coarsening of public discourse.

Maybe we should all wave white handkerchiefs in the air in protest as they do in Spain.

Its my biggest issue with Palace at the min. We look completely devoid of any plan.
