As a supporter of some 50 plus years I expect, by default you would have sat through some turgid games ending in defeat. As the majority of those years, you would have been watching us play at a lower standard of football, so there by default worse than we are now.
Not every game is a dazzling display of excitement, the previous night Brighton v W Ham stunk the place out with tedious boring football, it’s the reality of the game.

We are the worst side with the ball in the top flight, I’m certain of it.

We’re probably a top half side out of possession which is why we get some results, but the play we offer up in possession is nothing short of embarrassing.

I know the board see it as safe, but another 6m of this is going to be absolutely excruciating to watch, and I suspect is going to get very toxic as fans’ frustrations understandably build.

weather wasnt helping the game , you could see the the ball stopping or moving more , lots of over hit passes by both teams ,

Franca mmmm was ok in stages but needs abit of weight on him , and yes more game time may help but he is still a kid , Matty put in another good shift , but we must support him quicker he is doing hard work and no one to pass to , spending to much time getting close to the man playing the ball , this doesnt help to open defenses , so no surprise with the draw have seen crap from other matchs not just ours

I very much expect I did sit through a plethora of turgid games and perhaps I have been inflicted with "Good old days" syndrome.

I recall the days in the lower divisions when I got soaked to the skin whilst on the Holmesdale Terrace and witnessing games at an empty Selhurst Park.All in the dim and distant past and I was not so ripe in years.As for the present I do not expect dazzling displays of excitement each and every game but our abject home form and displays this and previous seasons has tried my patience.

Game on game we witness bland performances, some could be described as dire, and in all honesty my time could be better spent just following proceedings from the warmth of my abode and not having to endure a 4 hour round-trip.
Maybe if I take leave of my senses and travel up to Selhurst Park I will ensure I do not leave home without a white handkerchief and might be winded to wave it in the hair in total disgust as they do in Spain.

Missed Ayew and Olise big time last night. Midfield seems to be our worst for many a year and that might (probably is) be down to luxury players like Eza being part of it. Eza was poor again last night but looked better when Everton were down to 10. Not a compliment, more of he didn’t play well against 11? And of course Doucoure is missing and replacements aren’t up to it. Midfield just doesn’t bond as in past seasons. Defensively Richard’s does a good job but going forward there’s no pace from anyone? Another poor performance last night was Mitchell who at times had acres of space being found from Andersen long balls. However he did nothing with it which is why Everton weren’t so tight on him I guess? Also Schlup didn’t support Mitchell anywhere near as good as Ayew does. Another bad night at the office and I can’t see it improving soon :-(

He's an ATTACKING midfielder, NOT a defender. Do we want all our players to be defenders? Let Franca attack, god knows we need some joy of intent, All Roy seems to do(imo) is suck the flair & skill out of players in his 10 men behind the ball & defend philosophy. No, let him attack, JPM might benefit from it. I do, however, agree with you that would like to see him in Eze's position.
